. . . with green chile and cheese, hold the mayo. Too bad there are no Blakes in El Paso. Gotta drive to Las Cruces for that. For the eighty mile round trip, I think it's worth it.

If you are driving all the way to Las Cruces, forget Lottaburger. Dick's Cafe makes a much better green chile cheese burger.

Another good one is Mr Bills, on El Paseo. Have you tried them yet? Top notch.

I am right there with you br7or13. However, being up here in snow-laden WI, the 3000 mile round trip makes it a bit more prohibitive unfortunately than the 80 between LC and EP!!!

Darnit all. I miss green chile more than life itself.

Even major chain restaurants have picked up on the green chile thing in Albuquerque like Carls Jr. Stop in an at Owl Cafe in Antonito NM near Socorro.
Or there is an Owl Cafe in Albuquerque. They make an excellent chile burger.

Love the dollar bills on the wall at that joint. Great little place to grab a burger.

Sure there are great green chile burger places all over the state....and we all have our favorites.

But Lotaburger is everywhere .... that is why I think it's so cool ... it transcends location and just screams "New Mexico."

Am a New Mexico native, but somehow I think an In-and-Out Burger would beat a Lotaburger hands down.
