Interested in joining/forming a bike riding association in Southern NM. No prereq's. Love of the open road and aquiring new experiences required. No preconceptions and ideological baggage allowed! Self-reliant and not afraid to stretch the envelope a bit. Fair and even-handed. Stuff like that.... Anything like this around LC/TorC/Silver City???? Enquiring minds and all............................................... ...

Oh yeah, Harley prejudice a non starter. ANY bike enthusiast welcome.

Yep, that would be nice to ride with some people in NM, some good people that is.
Wish someone would reply.

CDR Club could be formed brand new.
City Data Riders Club :P

Been contemplating setting up a club here because we used to have a good one years ago apparently.

I'd be interested in joining, even though I don't live in NM. I've ridden to NM about ten times, though, and hope to do it again in 2009.

Default Depending on finances, I may get a bike this Spring

Probably something like a "Well Loved" Honda cruiser. I had a 10 year old,
1958 BSA 650 in my teens and I'd like to find a modern equivalent of that
class of bike. But we've been spending money like it was coming out of a
fire hose getting settled here and the budget may not stretch that far this
year.

I get tired of "wannabes" real fast so hanging with 40+ "image" riders who're
compensating for who-knows-what are not going to have much appeal.
Guys who just like to ride bikes 'cause they're fun are the sort of people I'd
probably like.

That would be fun forming a group of our own and riding all over NM or wherever the road takes us.
I don't know of any groups. My neighbors across the road ride and they belong to a national group but no local group has been formed.

lost all my laborious text about an hour ago. somehow i spared this machine and turned my efforts to working out my remaining left arm. bloody surgery was on friday. tendon was "obliterated" in doc's parlance. not good. it was as if there never had been a tendon there! had to splice the remnant tendon to adjacent muscle group. right arm encased in cast. no grammatical corrections possible. slow going. rehab at least 7 weeks. working the hell out of my abs, legs and left arm. another zipper to add to my rather extensive collection. one hand handed typing only; it sux!

had to sever nerves along my knuckles to get to what remained of my tendon. no feeling will remain on top of mt right fist. maybe that's a good thing. hopefully, i''l be able to draw again after eight looooonnnnnggggg months!

Last edited by dracul; 12-14-2008 at 03:44 PM.. Reason: typing completely with left hand only! pardon my errors
