What this tells me is that because one might say something that is "offensive" to the local"""moderator""" then you are OUT...

Actually, it doesn't.

We treat this as and other forums as if they were the classic town square
where freedom of speech DOES exist, but these forums are NOT public
spaces; they are private spaces upon which people can post opinions, etc.
whithin the bounds of what the OWNERS will allow. Them's the facts....

That fact that we can usually forget that fact says a lot about how well the
joint is actually run as well as the degree of self-restraint *most* members show.
