My friend was in an auto accident back in October 9th of 2012

His arraignment date was like in November 22 or 24 of which he went to court on either of those days.
He pleaded Not Guilty to the prosecutor in traffic court, and the prosecutor asked him that did he have insurance and did his insurance paid for the damages of the other persons vehicle and he said yes(also he amd the other person have the same insurance company).

His trail date is set on Jan 28th 2013.

Is it likely or unlikely that the officer that gave him the ticket(he ran the stop sign which puts him in the wrong) will show up for court?

I think it is dependent on what is happening in the officer's life that day.

A lot of departments schedule the Officers for a regular court appearance once a month . The tickets are then written to fall on that court date .

Just curious, why would he plead not guilty if he indeed did run the stop sign?

He should show up. Police are always in court.
