Great City!!!! Thanks for the photos. I am not a new orleans native, but I loved the beauty of the city the couple of times I went there. Had planned to go there and Biloxi, MS a week after Katrina. I thought it would never be the same again. I am from Albany, GA. It flooded here in 1994 and 1998. It was horrible, but unlike NOLA, we arent rising.... we have been falling ever since.

Default Recovery??

Are you kidding? More and more people are streaming in? Where have you been? Many areas are still abandoned, the Recovery Effort is basically nil, and no one received Road Home reimbursements/buyouts. Corruption still reigns as king here. Jobs, besides construction and laborer, are scarse. Please don't misinform the public.
I'd be more worried about recovery and a healthy economy instead of murders which are mainly "business disputes".

I live in Denver and rural and suburbanites ALWAYS talk about the crime rate in the city--but it's just talk here, the crime rate in rich Douglas county was actually worse last year.

I would love to know more about Terrebonne Parish, are there many rental houses in that area?

Default Loved the pics

I relocated to NY post-K and will be moving back in June. The city looks so much better than when I was there over a year ago. Thanks for the pics, they are very reassuring since I'm making my moving plans via phone and email. Uptown here I come!
