Does anyone know how one goes about finding a job at the Port, specifically the terminals along Tchoupitoulas? Nothing fancy, just loading/off-loading cargo. I never see these jobs posted. Do you have to "know someone"?

Any info is appreciated

I guess that would be right; whoever loads/offloads cargo or similar type of job that doesn't require a college degree or highly specialized training. However, given that we're 3 blocks from Tchoupitoulas, it would be preferable to find something here (like the Harmony St. wharf or similar). I was just wondering what the process is, given that most of the jobs I see posted are for higher-level positions.

Thanks for the info
