Can I ask how long it took after your appeals to hear back from them about the waitlist? Since it seems like no one wants the 2500 1 bedrooms are they allowed to allot them to people on the waitlist just to fill them up? Because I wouldn't assume that they could turn them into market rate apartments.

I called and emailed. They were very responsive.

I have to hand it to you guys for hanging in there for so long
Haha yeah, my whole process took 7 months. I think the key is, despite the fact I really really wanted this apartment, is to just assume you won't get it. I truthfully never thought for a second I'd get a one bedroom apartment here, so I never really got too invested or stressed about it. But I do feel extremely lucky, and I've never been a lucky person. haha. There are so many steps where something can go wrong so just never get your hopes up too high. After all, it just comes down to the luck of the draw.

Yeah, at this point I'm pretty much figured there isn't anything left and I will be waitlisted....unless they come back again and say I was rejected again? Well, either way this whole process was certainly an eye opener. I'm also very jealous of all of you who made it in....LOL.
