How about the bathroom? Would a new resident get the gray tile on the walls? I think I read somewhere that the bathrooms are retiled.

I have to say.. we've been looking at a lot of apartments lately and compared to what we've been seeing in our price-range, this looks absolutely lovely for a bare-bones apartment. Floors are nicely redone, molding is clean, clean and sturdy kitchen, clean bathroom. This kind of apartment in this neighborhood would be VERY expensive. Not like I wasn't obsessed before, but now it's excitement. We would all be so lucky. Thanks for posting!

I think this apartment hasn’t been fully redone in that the repair job by the window hasn’t been painted.

I’m not a spoiled person, really. I guess you’ll have to take my word on that! But if I were presented with this kitchen, and I had to 1) buy a stove; 2) buy a fridge; 3) install a floor anyway, I would rip the whole thing out and start fresh. And I would add a dishwasher.

I would do a modest job, nothing crazy. But something cheerful.

Maybe these cabinets look better in person!

I think I'm just used to Mitchell Lamas because I see nothing wrong with that apartment in terms of finishings! The kitchen is a little old fashioned and ugly but it's workable. We have the same gray tiles in our current ML bathroom and they're not bad at all. The bathroom is REALLY not bad, with the kitchen being borderline ugly lol.

Here is one *very* nice example. No idea what it cost but I'm sure you at least upgrade the existing kitchen for a lot less than they probably paid.
