Anybody get a log number from here? On the Mitchell lama site I don't have a log number and it already says Tennant selection in progress...I assume I wasn't selected?
same here, i think I was not selected, otherwise a log# would post there already
I am not in ML or any HPD lottery housing for that matter. But I was curious about transfer process within Mitchel Lama network. Is this a thing?
Scenario - say a person lives in a purchased ML co-op. If he wants to sell it and move to another ML building, is there a process to get on a waitlist? Does the person receive a priority on the waitlist? Does it have to be another purchase, or can it also be a rental?
Thanks for any insight.
There is no intra-system priority. The only time there is priority is for internal transfers, i.e. when a person lives in one Mitchell Lama and wishes to transfer to another apartment in the same Mitchell Lama.
The process usually goes as follows: the cooperator puts himself on the internal wait list; current cooperators get right of first refusal for every 3 out of 4 apartments (with the other 1 apartment being shown to those who are on the waitlist but are not yet cooperators). If it's a coop, the ML staff will take an accounting of any damages against the original price paid for the shares and will return whatever is left over when another cooperator or an external applicant takes the apartment and pays the new share price. It may take months to get this money back, so the cooperator may be paying maintenance on two places (both the old and the new) while the old apartment still has not been sold.
Strycker's Bay log#'s came out
I am surprised I even received log #'s since I normally get Not Selected.
