When you say "win", do you mean being contacted for documents, or actually going through the whole agent + HPD process and being offered a lease?
A lot of us can say that we've had high log numbers be reached and been asked for documentation, but that doesn't imply that we ended up actually being offered a unit.
Just got called for 5Pointz with a 11xxx log. Heard it’s a total sh!tsh0w building though, but 1BR is $2250 which is low for the area, even for a lottery.
On the Low (under 80%) and medium (80%)side of ami it’s more like a lottery, on the high end (100% & Up) side of the ami it becomes more like a raffle.

A circumstance that can help a high log# prevail in a lottery is the timeline. The timeline of a lottery is elastic. After a lottery closes for entrants some lotteries issue log#s quickly, others take six months of more. Once log#s are issues some lotteries process applications quickly, others do not. Some buildings offer leases quickly some don’t. There are too many factors to discuss here about why it takes so long for leases to be offered. Here is one single powerful reason, the buildings is not ready for occupancy.
The idea here is the longer the wait is the higher log#s can have an enhanced chance of success because every week that passes is an opportunity for lower log#s to lose interest or move out of town or whatever.
I can provide a high log # success story lol - 46xxx with CB in the 70% AMI. Yup, didn't think it was possible, but against all odds, I got approved. It can happen!!
Hey all. So I have a relatively low log of 6** and remain on 'pending' status. I'm within the 80% AMI. Obviously all of the apartments have been filled for some time now but is there hope for the future? Could I potentially be called if an apartment opens up?
