I'm not selected either! But that was too fast. I wonder if it was a mistake.

Pethian, where are you approximately on the two-bedroom list? That list moves much more slowly, as I’m sure you’ve noticed.
Last I checked we were in the 120s. I'm trying to check less frequently because I was getting fixated on it and frustrated by the long spells when it seemed frozen.

Truly sorry to hear you weren't selected. I was rooting for you and hoping you and your daughter would be neighbors.

Thank you, Pethian! I'll keep trying, every five years!

Best of luck on the two-bedroom list. I know it's a slow mover.

I received a log # of 2xx. Where can we see what the waitlist is up to?

Congrats!

Studio or one-bedroom?

Penn South will contacted you at some point with information on how to create an account. Then you will see the wait list.

But first the 2019 wait list has to be completed.

You have a great number! I guess the first step is to follow the instructions in the email on completing the application online and sending in your money by the deadline.

After Penn South contacts you with the waiting list into, you may find your number has improved after the studio people are filtered out (unless that has been done already), plus those who failed to fill out the application.

So currently there are 159 people on the one-bedroom "active applicants" 2019 list. Penn South has about 70 one-bedroom vacancies a year. Also, a rule of thumb is that as a list ages, it moves more quickly. The more time that elapses, the greater the likelihood that applicants are no longer interested, no longer qualify, have moved out of state, have died, etc.

So judging from all that, I would guess that the person who is No. 1 on the 2023 list would have to wait about a year and a half to be offered an apartment.

I was selected for the studio: 1X. It's crazy bc initially I didn't plan on applying for the studio bc of its size - but alas - I'm so glad I did b/c I wasn't selected for the 1 br. For those saying it was fast and might be a mistake - I think it's just faster now b/c so many people are doing it through the website. The lottery selection for Masyrk and Cadman was also this fast.

Congrats! Most of the PS studios are small, but you can take the best of whatever you're offered. Then, after three years of residency, you can go on the internal transfer list for either a larger studio or a one-bedroom, specifying exactly what you want.

It's just that in 2019, PS took five months to start notifying people!

The studio list hasn't been moving very fast. Even though you have a great number, it will probably be years because you get called.
