My HPD file was uploaded to my HC account on the 6th of October, so I emailed HPD today to get an update and was told that they don't have any file submitted on my behalf. They said they only see the files that I uploaded and to contact my Marketing Agent. I then tell them that there is a HPD file listed as uploaded on the 6th and if they can see it, they said nope.

I contact my marketing agent and she says it was submitted and she hasn't heard anything back from HPD. She was also emailing her team get more details. This was closer to 4PM and the work day was almost over, so I'm going to follow up tomorrow morning.

Has this ever happened to anyone?
Could the agent have uploaded it but not let HPD know?

I'm very confused and I've tried calling HPD about 10 times today and no one picked up.

okay, so apparently my agent uploaded my file to my Housing Connect but forgot to make it accessible to HPD so they can review it. So that's why it wasn't showing up on their end.

So, if you get sent to HPD and feel like it's taking too long. I suggest emailing or calling to see if they can view your file and this error ain't happen to you.

this can happen also if your unit was assigned to someone else before. If anyone goes through this in the future know that if hpd approved someone the unit before you who withdrew, your hpd approval will only be sent to the marketing agent and not reflected on the housing connect portal.

Makes you wonder how many people missed out on apartments because of human error or even human stupidity.
