Hello,

Like to inquire if anyone knows about the rental apartment building called “Beacon Mews” located at West 139th Street.

If so, how is the building? How is the neighborhood, i.e.: clean, safe? Are there any nice views in this area?

Any comments are greatly appreciated!

Default Beacon Mews - 139th Street, Harlem

I lived across the street last year and checked this building out. The building and the apartments are brand new and very nice. The neighborhood is 'just ok'. Not too many neighborhood aminities, but gradually those are improving. The good thing is it's close to public transportation - bus and trains - and if you have a car, there's a brand new garage.

The building is great. The neighborhood, meh. Further south in Harlem is just so much nicer...and prices are dropping there too.

I used to live down the street. I liked being close to the park and the 1 is a great train. I didn't like the loud neighbors fighting at midnight, booming music at 3 am, or getting catcalled even while wearing a parka. It's not horrible but I certainly wasn't sad to move away.
