thanks for all the good info , but im afraid we were shooting too high - so we moved our search to Parkchester - we have a few good places for considerably less AND its in DistricT 11 so I can enter the lottery for Bronx Excellence Charter school! - Parkchester seems full of stores and restaurants - Not as quiet as Id like it but I'VE GOT TO MOVE!!
If you are thinking about the Parkchester complex maybe you should think about renting there first for a year, to get the lay of the land, learn which parts and buildings are better, etc. Parkchester is huge and there are big differences in atmosphere, etc from building to building.Hard to figure it all out without being there.Luckily, there is always a large supply of apartments for rent in Parkchester so you get to try it on before you buy if you want.
my old neighbors told me the guy (who has a basement apt and walks around to himself muttering, checking to see who's in the laundry room and walking outside the bldg) showed them a copy of his court disposition indicating his conviction and sentence. according to the mother the guy supposedly had his eye on her young 20 something daughter and the mom was really uncomfortable about it.
the guy is weird. he has a 20 year old Lincoln Town Car and everytime i am doing my wash he pops his head in the laundry room then makes a weird noise then leaves
FREAKING BIZZARE
If this was true, i wonder how our super critical landlord let him live here
I wonder how he affords the apartment and maintains the old Town Car

that feeling of unease is the EXACT reason I cant live in Brady Court now...there IS a registered LEVEL 3 sex offender (I checked) - in 97 he raped an 8 year old!! yes that was a long time ago, but who knows whats he done since then - not that it matters to me - you only need to rape one child to be a monster in my book - And now lives across the street from an elementary school...so for all of Brady Courts cameras and security guards, they let "one" in, and gave him a lease.

No BD2, I misspoke, turns out Im looking at Park Versailles - you've already enlightened me on its real name/history. On the map I didnt see PV - I only saw Parkchester.
We're looking into the Archer Coop - seems like a stable building from what I can tell - and Ive got a Buyer agent who just got a couple into it - hope we can have the same luck. Its EXACLTY what we want - no rape-o's and an elevator - I don't ask for much
