Forgive me for this, but I showed this thread to a friend of mine from Trinidad to see if he had any information for the OP, and he immediately took umbrage at this:
"Where my Trinidadian at?"
He wanted me to send this message: There is not a single person from Trinidad that speaks this way.
My friend, like most people of African heritage from Trinidad, speaks with a sort of British accent. The native dialect is what he calls "broken-up English", and he compared it with Creole to French.
It's interesting, and I am posting this on behalf of my friend because he wanted to set the record straight.
Trini's are in a large swath of Brooklyn stretching from Fulton all the way down to Kings Hwy and Canarsie alongside other West Indiands. For Indo Trini its Ozone Park and Richmond Hill out in Queens along with Guyanese.
