Hi all,

I'm working on a news story about Co-op Intro 188, the proposed City Council bill that would require co-op boards to submit a written decision to potential applicants within 45 days.

I was hoping a few of you on here who own co-ops or have experience with boards would be willing to share your opinions about this legislation.

Just send me a message and we can get in touch.

The last I heard in December, by council member Karen Koslowitz was that the proposed bill was laid to rest in committee. I was told by someone else that this doesn't necessarily mean that the law won't pass but rather would have to be reintroduced since last the session just ended.

Whoever that "someone" is does not understand city politics. Why would you care about this topic. If I were rejected by a coop board for any reason I would not want to live there and if I were passed I don't care why. If I went for an interview and they told me it was going to take 45 days to decide I would also walk away.
