Lazy, Hazy, Summer Days In New York City . . .

They're here! Time for sunglasses and Italian ices! I love summers in New York City (most of the time). Looking forward to lots of summer photos. Here's a few to start . . .

Hate it too... just nasty. I try to do whatever possible not to venture outside during the summer until past 5 or 6.

The "good" days make it bearable though. You know, when the temperature is in the upper 60's in the evening and there is a nice breeze. Nothing like it

I can't imagine what it's like in NYC during the summer but I imagine it to be pretty unbearable, I have family in chicago and they say summers can be unbearable so i imagine it to be like that!

Anyway, look at the new world trade centre! I didn't realise it was so tall already! It is going to look brilliant!

Totally misjudged today. Had most of the day off except for some freelance writing, so I decided to do my walk along the water in Bayside, which I do a few times a month. Only thing was the breeze along the water was non-existent and while I got a decent workout, I wound up getting a headache that took a while to eliminate.

(Can't say that we're on the same page; as a native New Yorker, this weather is the kind I've always known. I wouldn't be in a position to say that I hated it unless I lived somewhere else and preferred the weather there--although I seriously doubt I'd move away from my hometown for a reason like weather).

Well, I am not the sort that runs for cover when a little heat and humidity comes my way. I was born in the NYC heat and spent many summers enjoying it.

Besides, if I can spend a 115 degree day in this (Phoenix, Arizona) . . .

Then I can certainly find ways to entertain myself on a sweltering NYC day! So bring on the heat, I will be there with camera in hand! Bring on the heat!
