1.I live in Maspeth and I got a job in the Bronx at Grace Ave. I don't want to drive but if I have to what's the fastest way to go there without paying the toll.

2. If no other way than paying the toll how much is the toll?

3. If I want to use public transportation what's the fastest way please please be specific what bus and subway to take and how long it would take me to get there. Thank you.

For #3 use Trip Planner+. Input your to and from and when and other stuff and it will tell you specifically how to use subway and bus to get there, how long it will take.... all the info you need.

Grace Avenue is in the Northeast Bronx. It is totally impractical to get there by going over the 59th St Bridge into Manhattan and then going over the Willis Ave Bridge into The Bronx and then driving all the way up and over.It would take f'ing forever.

Grace Ave is very close to I 95 near Co Op city so you really have to use either the Throg's Neck or The Whitestone to the Hutch to 95. I have a feeling the Whitestone might be your best bet.

You could also take the 5 train to Baychester Ave and walk a few blocks to Grace but it's a long ride.Baychester is the next to the last stop on the 5....45 or 50 mins from midtown.

I grew up in Maspeth so know all the shortcuts.

Take Maurice Ave to the LIE (left lane).
At LIE get off at the Van Dam Exit toward Queensboro/59th St Bridge.
Take 59th Street bridge into Manhattan
Take FDR North to the Triboro but dont get on the Triboro Bridge
Take Harlem River Dr north to the 3rd Ave Bridge.

Voila welcome to the Bronx.

PS: I just re-read and saw that the Grace Ave location is on the other side of the Bronx..In that case, you should probably take Queens Blvd all the way up to the GCP (only if LIE is backed up), and then hop on the Clearview --> toward Throggs Neck.

I would suggest the Whitestone but I prefer the Throggs because its less traffic. Anything to avoid the Cross Bronx Expressway which REALLY TAKES FOREVER!

The Bronx–Whitestone Bridge and the Throgs Neck Bridge connects Queens and the Bronx. Clearview = clearview expressway (connects you to the Throgs Neck Bridge). The GCP = Grand central parkway. If you look at a map you can see where these are located and the directions suggested will make more sense....
