What are the differences between Brooklyn and QUeens? They are the only two boroughs, IMO, that have alot of similarities while still maintaining their own distinct character. And we know that The Bronx, for the most part, is just an extension of Upper Manhattan
My question is what are some of the things they definitely share, what are some of the things they definitely do not share. People, places, feel etc.
For example: both have china towns, both have large caribbean populations, both have. Brooklyn has great subway service while QUeens has good highway/parkway/expressway service.

Queens has a professional baseball and Brooklyn does not. Also queens is a port of entry for people due to airports while Brooklyn is not.
The immediate differences are that Brooklyn is a bit more urban than Queens in terms of infrastructure and vibe, while the ethnic flavor in Queens is much more prolific due to the sheer amount of nationalities that reside there. Brooklyn is more gentrified in certain areas and is also more economically diverse, with a wider range of socioeconomic levels.
Here are my (probably biased) thoughts, based on nothing more than personal observation:
Queens in more traditionally "middle class", while Brooklyn is becoming a mix of either "Yuppy class" or "Lower/artist" class.
Brooklyn has a more urban feel, and is generally denser in population.
Queens is much better for driving, but Brooklyn has more subway lines.
The nicest areas in Brooklyn are at least 2x as expensive as the nicest areas of Queens. Actually, everywhere in Brooklyn is more expensive than its closest counterpart in Queens.
For the most part Brooklyn and QUeens have mirror image neighborhoods of each other.
Astoria = Williamsburg
Jamaica Avenue = Fulton st
Flushing Meadows park = Prospect Park
Hispanic Roosevelt Avenue (7 train) = Hispanic Broadway (J train)
Coney Island = Rockaways
What differences within these boroughs are specific to just that borough. Like Brooklyn is known nationwide for its hipster population and is really not found in QUeens. QUeens is known for its unrivaled for its diversity.
There is no highway that cuts right through Brooklyn. Try getting to the cemetery of holy cross by car.
What neighborhoods are more or less replicas of each others and what neighborhoods are in no way shape or form like any other?
Brooklyn could pass as a city in its own right, Queens on the otherhand is mostly suburban [overcrowded suburban at that]. I perfer Brooklyn, even though I live in Queens.
For the most part Brooklyn and QUeens have mirror image neighborhoods of each other.

Those two are not even close to being similar. Let alone a mirror image of each other.
