My roommate and I are moving from one apartment in Astoria, Queens to another (and adding a 3rd roommate) at the end of February (this Wednesday).

I have to be out of my current place on Feb 29th (no exceptions...we already asked our landlord), HOWEVER, we cannot move into our new building until 9AM March 1st, as there is a currently a tenant occupying the unit, and the building has very strict move-in times.

What on earth are we supposed to do with all our stuff? Isn't it illegal to park a commercial moving truck on the street overnight. As if moving in NYC doesn't suck enough already neither of our landlords are flexible, and our moving day is on a Thursday, to boot!

Any experiences, suggestions etc. will be really appreciated! Thanks!

Park on 103rd street and roosevelt avenue. Sleep in the van and you're good money.
