Well, FEMA has finally arrived today AFTER the power was restored and AFTER all the stores were reopened. They were giving away free food and I clearly saw people taking food who had no need for it. One lady with Jersey plates who probably drove in from the burbs was stuffing the back of her SUV with bottled water and free meals.

It's possible she was trying to help friends or relatives in NY. It's not like they on't have enough to go around. By the way, the Red Cross and FEMA were both in Chinatown yesterday at around 4:00 pm--before the power came on.

Why would someone drive over here for hamburger helper and tuna?

You talk as if FEMA hands out steak and lobster tails.

I didn't think you could "steal" something being given away for free.

Down on the Jersey coast, house destroyed, no heat, no shelter, no food. I know honey, let's gas up the SUV and drive into Manhattan.
