Has anyone ever done a home swap for a vacation? Checking Craigslist there is one home swap in Manhattan for the month of January. The owner has pics, and it looks beautiful. I'd like to swap my home during the Christmas holidays. It's a B&B. A simultaneous swap isn't necessary. I live in New Orleans. Any thoughts about this?

This has always intrigued me but it is so nervous-making. I have wondered whether my vacation would be ruined worrying about coming home to a wrecked apartment.
