I procrastinated for so long, I'm not even sure I'll be able to vote.
I moved 1 yr ago from SI to Queens. I never changed my address with the board of elections, or whatever body oversees this thing.
Now we're two weeks away from election day and I don't really feel like going all the way to Staten Island to vote.
Can I just show up at my closest voting place and see if I vote there instead?
Is that even possible?

What are my options really?
I believe that you can show up at the place where you would vote according to your new address and they will give you a paper ballot to be sent to your old address voting place.
Not sure if you can just show up at your new address but I'm glad you aren't voting for the establishment candidates.
I'm voting 3rd party too.
Enough of the fake dichotomy. These two candidates couldnt be more of the same crap.
Even if we don't make a dent - a vote big enough for 3rd party candidate- will make the establishment take note and realize that the general public is starting to wake up and is demanding REAL CHANGE.
You can't show up at just any polling site. It needs to be the one you are registered to. To officially change your registered address, you need to mail or deliver the registration form at least 25 days beforethe election you want to vote in.
If third parties want to be serious about changing things they have to start with realistic political goals. We never hear a peep from them except every four years when they symbolically, and pointlessly, run candidates for president.
There's no reason a Green Congressional candidate couldn't be competitive in New York's 8th district, for example.

It's not that that they don't have realistic political goals.
Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, and even Ralph Nader are more realistic and got more balls than both of the mainstream candidates.
Unrealistic goals are:
To pretend to be the world's police; and to keep fighting an unwinnable war on drugs, both, goals of the current establishment candidates.
We never hear a peep from third party candidates because the media is part of the establishment.
And the establishment only wants to follow this false dichotomy of Democrat vs Republican.
