is there anyway way to tell if you going to a criminal court building or a civil court building? I rather not go into a criminal court building. I got the card thing and gonna be going there in a few weeks.

in NY city you either serve in the Criminal Court for a misdemeanor case or the Supreme/County Court for a felony case. I don't know about civil cases but id imagine they are in the County/Supreme Court. . what does the address and name of court say on the summons?

360 Adams St i think is the Kings Co. Court which if im not mistaken is for felony cases. im not up on the civil cases. if it were for a misdemeanor case it might be the Brooklyn Criminal Court

is it true that felonies get heard at the Supreme Court and civil cases? if it were a Federal Case would it be held in the brooklyn Supreme Court or would a juror have to go to the Federal Court at Foley Square in manhattan?

The building handles both civil and criminal cases.

New York City Supreme Court
