Yeah, but unless your clients are ALL in urban centers, how do you plan to get there?

Most places outside of NYC and a couple of other urban centers, are only convenient by cAR! Specifically suburban locations. The US is not like Europe, where rail is popular. Here the automobile is the major mode of transport, our entire culture is based upon the car.

I am afraid you are going to NEED to learn to drive. After that, you can lease a vehicle and invest in a good GPS system.

My brother found himself in a similar circumstance. Very new driver, no vehicle. Transferred to an unfamiliar city, unfamiliar state, and needed to service high net worth clients in a trti state region.

He had GREAT difficulty acclimating! Was always getting lost and turned around.

Manhattan w/b the most central location. At minimum, $3K ror a studio/one bedrm in good building and neighborhood. In addition, car expenses, monthly lease, gas, and VERY EXPENSIVE parking.

An alternative *might* be Hunter's Point, Queens or Forest Hills, for similar money, but cheaper parking.

Hey Skinaayyy,

I don't want to be at a place with lots of stuff going on at night if that increases the rent substantially(Which I am sure it will). So, happening-wise, an average place will do. Some restaurants, a pub or two nearby, groceries stores/mall around should do for me. I like walking but that can't replace a car, so if things are 10-20 mins walk from where I will be, I don't mind. Amenities wise, I need basic temperature control and laundry services. Age of the building is not high on the list but as long as it's not going to fall and doesn't look like an abandoned 2nd world-war building in Paris, it works for me. From safety point of view I should be able to walk home or get out late at night without getting beaten-up

Another thing I want tell is that I like to jog and workout, so I should be able to get out morning/evening and run a few miles.
