I am sure if some white Cracker Redneck from down south wanted to work at a soul food place in Harlem they would not want a white guy but would be smart enough not to say it.
Somehow, this is not much worse than being rejected because you are black/white/asian but they did not tell you the exact reason and instead make up another excuse for rejecting you. So do you prefer an honest rejection or a rejection plus being lied to?

Sadly true. I'm sure this happens a lot of time, rejection for race (or for being too fat, or too old), but the reason is never said aloud.
