Hello,
My car was hit pretty hard while parked and since I just arrived after the accident, the police was called and a report was submitted. The cops told me I do not need to write down the other driver's info since it will be on the report but today when I picked it up I saw that although the driver's info is there, it does not say what kind of insurance they have (only the number is there), and there is no phone number either.

My question is how do I find out what is their insurance??
Any ideas?

Just give all the information to your insurance company and let them handle it. Assuming the other car's license plate is on the report, your insurance company should be able to get their insurance details from the CLUE database and pursue them for reimbursement.

Yes i know this but the reason i wanted to avoid starting a claim with my company was to not have to pay the deductible...

You wont have to pay the deductible if the accident was completely their fault.

If he goes through his insurance company, he will have to pay the deductible, regardless of who was at fault. He will be reimbursed down the road whenever the other party's insurance company pays the claim.
