Flash mob caused major havoc Thursday night. Now no one under the age of 18 is admitted without parent. How can they enforce this? Social media makes large mobs like this easy to assemble quickly, And i think we will see a similar situation again.

Flash-Mobbing and Knockout-Attacks been going on for some years now. The thing is it's getting worst and becoming more prevalent. National and International media are beginning to air this dirty laundry and it is revealing a rapid social decline within segments of our society or at least in areas of some developed nations. There is no doubt there is a mental, social decline and I do not see it getting better but worst and that's the bottom line. It is..... what it is....

Yay... The media creates the illusion of division and strife, and guess what happens?

Can they not find out who started it on social media and charge them with something with a severe punishment?

This is not evidence of a "rapid social decline" of any kind. If the internet and cell phones were around 75 years ago, this same stuff would have happened then too. You are making this out to be far bigger than it is...it is kids being kids...it just so happens that the internet makes it more interesting/dynamic to do these sorts of things vs just telling a few friends and doing it.

Kids being kids is mischief, Like ring and run or a flaming bag of dog poo on a doorstep or crank phone calls. A mob of hundreds is a tidal wave of destruction dangerous to life and property. They are criminals and should be tried as adults if taken for a ride to the station-house. Instead, They get away clean here after beating up security guards and looting stores. That said, That mall has not been a good place for a long time. I doubt many would miss it if it closed, With so many other places to shop and get a pretzel without having to deal with all the problems that often go on there. I am very familiar with that mall since the 80's both as a shopper and having worked there.

Not at all. 75 years ago you had people glued to the radio and newsreels as Hitler invaded Austria, Jews were being rounded up in Poland, Franco was on the rise in Spain and Japan went to war with China. And that's just a small history lesson from 75 years ago.

These deviants that went on the rampage are not just "kids being kids". They are poorly raised thugs whose parent(s) should be hauled into jail to answer for them. What you have here, sir, is a complete breakdown in respect for social order and plain good manners. If they want to behave like a pack of wild animals they should be hunted down and caged. In case you didn't read the whole story, businesses had to CLOSE because of the actions of these animals. Innocent people were having their bags snatched from them. Disgraceful. There is no defending them.

If they organized over social media, then shouldn't there be an easy trail to follow and find who was involved?

What a joke! You mean to tell me hundreds of little thugs running around creating havoc in the kings
plaze mall, but not a single one of them were arrested but the cops? You can bet they will organize
another "party" in the social media in the near future some place else and have more "fun" since
apparently there were no consequences with these type of actions.

The reporter said that it took PD 1 1/2 hours to respond...that's like Detroit response time
