I think its a nice idea to bring other flavors into city island. I hope it does well. Ahh I remember Jimmys Bronx Cafe growing up! I've never been to Don Coqui as of yet but i've been told good things about the restaurant. Maybe we'll try it out this year sometime

it is officially opened however I went last night and it was dead as a door nail. I don't think they are quite ready yet to open their doors...or maybe nobody know they are there...but I walked in and immediately walked out.

I would have except there was no music or people. It would have been me and the janitor..and he left his dancing shoes at home.
