WTF are gangs doing shooting up an event that could help spread legalization throughout the nation ? That's just dumb and irresponsible but " That B what we do when we get stoopid blazed ".

Why does there need to be gang violence at a televised smoke -in ?

A lot of Americans are dumb that's why. They don't know how to act anything but a fool.

I'd like to see potheads doing things in a positive light like donating some proceeds to charity or some sort of community service to prove to the rest of the population that we are decent citizens who just like to smoke pot...not act a fool.
The problem is when you point one finger at someone, you have three pointed back at yourself. Are you sure that you don't feel that you are a part of these "dumb" Americans deep down inside? Are you sure you aren't acting foolish yourself? This isn't meant as a personal attack, but it sounds like you have some sort of guilt/self hatred complex going on.

Since when does one incident of gang violence set national policy on an important subject?

Can you supply any statistical proof that marijuana use is leading to violence, beyond vague "act a fool" comments? Do you realize how inarticulate that sounds?

Dennis Brown posted that according to FDA stats, prescription pills kill 100k Americans a year. Since its apparently okay for the pharma industry to kill people with prescription pills, please tell me why it okay to have marijuana illegal. And please no straw man arguments like the archetypically bad hip-hop/Black boy might "act a fool". Plenty of people do foolish things while drunk (drunk driving, fights, etc), and alcohol is certainly LEGAL.

I don't get the whole "That B what we do when we get stoopid blazed" response for "acting a fool".

Isn't there nothing in MJ that triggers the brain to act in such a way? THC makes your brain release dopamine, which is what you do when you're happy. Your brain is giving yourself rewards. MJ or not, those people that act a fool because they are stoopid blazed are going to act a fool regardless, sober or not. They're just using the MJ as a cop out.

Have you ever seen the studies on people that act a fool after they have been drinking non alcoholic beer all night?

I would vote 100% to legalize it. For one, my stock portfolio would boom.

And if he wants to buy it legally, he'd have to pay more for it. At least initially.

Most of the time economics makes no sense. I think I'll go visit the Colorado and Washington state forums to see their recent experiences.

Could Be and a Valid point to make. I have a friend who is a little more left than left (if you know what I mean) who has described instances where protesters or "trouble makers" were deliberately placed at an event to cause trouble.

It happens on the Left and Right.

Definitely wouldn't rule it out. It's been known to happen.
