I told you what to do and you ignored me. I hope you find what you are looking for in the Carolina's. FYI the comments in the Advance are roughly 25 people posting 85% of the comments.

How you all voted "Plea Bargain" Donovan back into office I'll never know. Every single case it seems from high to low is bargained down to nothing.

Take that big bust a year or so ago of the doctor running a pill mill out of his South Shore home. It took ages for area residents to get the NYPD involved, and then all the undercover work to bust the guy. What did he get? A few months probation IIRC or some such nonsense. Something about his aged wife and her frail health, his own age and problems etc.... Nothing about the danger and harm he put his neighbors and fellow SI residents into buy selling scripts and Oxycodone pills, including young persons.

Donovan is a disgrace. If Brooklyn can get shot of Charles Hines why can't SI this clown?

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- He certainly wasn’t reading the latest bestseller.

An off-duty city firefighter busted eight months ago for allegedly peddling and possessing oxycodone behind Barnes & Noble bookstore in New Springville has pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge, said prosecutors.
Christopher Lynaugh, 40, was arrested July 27 at about 6:15 p.m., said authorities.

like I said, out in the open......

Wow, what a plague, you found one story!

Let me make this loud and clear:

NO ONE is saying that it doesn't happen. What we are saying is that your characterization of Staten Island as someplace where every turn of a corner leads one smack into another drug deal is patently false. Yes, drug abuse is becoming a problem. Open air drug dealing though is not a hassle most people will ever deal with.

Posting Silive stories won't cut it because I'm asking you to prove what YOU see apparently every single day, everywhere you go. So take some pictures, post them up, and I promise you I will direct them to the proper people. Until then, you're full of it, period.

Airborne,
I don't have to prove anything to you. You are ignorant at what is going on around you. If you know about drug abuse you would know every car brake in, every robbery, the thefts, the fights, all these articles in the advance, these are just a tip of the iceberg of what is going on here related to drugs here. I will not put myself at risk taking a picture of drug deals, that is just stupid. I can tell you where to park your car and you can see for YOURSELF. I can share with you what I know. But you want to insist this isn't happening here because it hasn't affected you personally, then you can live with rose colored glasses on instead of being proactive to the problem and trying to make changes (which I do, I speak at schools and share what I know. I am invited to youth meetings). I also report what I know and send things to anyone who will listen. I work with and know so many affected by this here. Statistics are one thing. Kids are dying on Staten Island and dope sick.

Why does it have to be someone you know? Why not go to an narcotics anonymous meetings. See the kids that struggle with it. Why not drive around and watch the the "innocent teens" standing by the train stations. Why not be the proactive person that you Airborneguy say you are. If you have connections maybe you seeing it for yourself may sway your belief. My wife and have lived in three different neighborhoods on this lovely island. By the time we left each of them we knew was dealing, who was using and most disturbing knew the parents used. As my wife has stated if you think that car break ins, burglaries, robberies, and fights are not connected to drug dealing you are living with as my wife has said " rose. Colored glasses".

I'm not going to say what I do for a living, but I feel secure stating that my professional life has made me keen to the issues you are raising. Take that as you will.

If you were a narcotics cop you'd know. A drug counselor, you'd know. If you loved someone with an addiction, you'd know. Knowing can be part of the solution.
