Yep..that's the case for many people, they just don't know any better, or perhaps they thrive in NYC, and love it, which is fine....but like others have said, it's not for everyone.

How is stating an opinion about the people or city negative?

I can be more productive and do more during one day in NY than I would be able to do so anywhere else in the country. While some might say that they only live once and want to spend it by relaxing and doing nothing, I say you only live once so why not try to do as much as possible during that time.

Italianuser. Don't bother wasting your time responding to tessie. Apparently she knows everybody personally through their screenames.

So you can judge him, after he responds with an answer that you won't like?

No judging. Just wondered why he said that jen5276 post was negative, when all she was just stating her opinion. to me, seems like HE was the one judging, dontcha think?

New York is what it has always been in living memory - the place to go and make a name for yourself. If you want to establish yourself in any number of careers, and position yourself to get to the top, NY is the place to do it. There may be places to go where this can be done for specific fields, but no place offers more possibilities in more fields than NY. This is why people pay what it costs, and put up with the issues it imposes, to live here.

If you want a nice comfortable, quite life, and don't care if you're making top dollar, or getting top billing, there are better places to do that (especially with kids.)

He wasn't judging,he bolded out the precise words and said they were negative, and disagreed.

The true question is, if Jen had said his post was negative, would you have questioned her?
