Ballervison you sound like a landlord. Have a good day. Again much thanx to the rest of you here that had something worthy of my question to say.

I don't know why you're getting huffy. You've received advice and even a judge who allowed you time to get a lawyer without entering a judgement against you.

From what I've seen and heard about where people are shacking up LL's usually don't do anything about it UNLESS the tenant is a PITA or it could be that the LL wants the apartment in order to raise the rent.

Anywho, had it been me the boyfriend would have been gone after the first warning. You decided what was more important.

If he wasn't on the lease, which you could have had him added to avoid the end result of you going to court you should have. If the LL said no that he had to leave either you abide by that or be prepared to move.

Definitley sounds like they want to get your apartment. I would get a lawyer ASAP, do not go to housing court on your own

It's very hard to win a case for "meritless litigation."

Remember, 50% of all people in a civil suit lose their cases. Does that mean their case was meritless? If so, every loser would be liable for "filing a meritless case." And that is clearly not the case.

To win for frivolous litigation, meritless case, or whatever you want to call it, the suit has to be really egregious, to the point that there is clearly no question of fact or law.
