Majority of creative types such as hipsters use apple devices. Seems to be a smart idea to open an apple store in that part of Brooklyn as well as a huge convenience too. Much more easy to reach instead of traveling to Soho or Chelsea apple store locations for Williamsburg residents. Hipsters will get writers bloc on their 10 inch Mac book air!

I'd join in making fun of hipsters but I'm typing this on my new retina iMac so I'll have to hang my head in shame instead.

Can you share some 5K screen real estate? I envy you. $2500 is too steep for me. I am typing this on my retina Nexus 7.

When I read this article a few days ago I rejoiced. Hahaha.

Finally won't have to go into Manhattan for an official Apple Store!

I don't care what anyone says Williamsburg has literally moved up. Downtown Brooklyn/Barclays Center should be next!

No Bed Stuy is next. Real estate is still cheap there compared to downtown Brooklyn.

Lmfao. No, even if that were true Apple's last concern is money. They could afford to put a store anywhere. Though have an Apple Store in my birth neighborhood would be . . . Awkward. Where would they put it? On Nostrand somewhere? Haha

Though after Williamsburg I can see Barclays Center/BAM District area as viable contenders.

My, my....how Brooklyn has changed. Who ever thought that scary beat up HSBC bank at One Hanson Place would one day be a gigantic mall. I remember that Chinese restaurant next door, ages ago that had bullet proof glass to protect themselves from nut jobs.

They sure built up Brooklyn quick. They got minorities out, built the luxury condos, raised the rents to a point that only a lawyer could pay the it, made the area safe and now an Apple store, huh? How that borough has made a million strides. They sure pushed the working class outta that area quicker than anyone could have imagined.

Even Spike Lee hates it.
