Chick-fil-A to open first full-menu NYC restaurant by summer

Already well-known in the South, chicken chain Chick-fil-A is continuing its expansion above the Mason-Dixon line with its first full-menu location in the Big Apple.
The new location at 1000 Sixth Ave in the Herald Square neighborhood is set to open by late summer. Chick-fil-A already operates a separate "express" location in a New York University building, but it has more limited hours and a smaller menu than a typical location.
"This location will allow us to serve fans who have been asking us to come to New York and to earn the opportunity to serve new customers, as it will be the first of many locations in the city," said Carrie Kurlander, VP of Public Relations, Chick-fil-A, in an emailed statement.

The move is part of a broader expansion strategy for the chain, which is rapidly moving into new markets in the Midwest, West and Northeast.

Despite Chick-fil-A's increasingly large national footprint, its store hours policy has remained the same.
