I love Ali's Roti! Though I only eat at their Fulton Street (near Nostrand) location. To be honest, I haven't heard so many great things about their Utica location, but, boy, do I really enjoy my goat and chicken rotis from Fulton!

Ali's to me is "Meh." It's often too dry for my taste.
Burke and where? I need to know now that my friends have moved to Texas.
It's called feroza on Burke Avenue in the Bronx right off the 2 train. Trinidadian roti is no joke. Trinidadians pack or fill their roti with chicken or beef or shrimp, vs traditional Indian or Indo Guyanese which don't stuff thier roti and usually roti is a side dish along with curried meat. Roti should be a national dish for Trinidad instead of bake and fish.
For the op. Since he wants Trinidadian style roti he needs to a Trinidadian place for that. Guyanese style is different since the meat is not stuffed in the roti and only used as a side. But lately Guyanese like to follow Trinidadian culture trends for some reason, and Guyanese increasingly are preparing Trinidadian style curry roti.

Ugh, I may try it, but Ali's is a $2-$3 cheaper, so I'll see!
