Since Gloria's restaurant closed in Brooklyn a few years ago, I have yet to find a roti shop that measures up to the taste and freshness that Gloria's was known for. I traveled from Queens every weekend for either a goat or shrimp roti and then hit up Allan's Bakery a block up for currant and coconut rolls. Allan's is still there but under new owners and the taste of the goods reflects that. Wish some things would never change.

Are you looking for one in Brooklyn?
I thought Trini Gul had the best roti in Brooklyn, if not NYC, but they've also relocated to Queens. Ali's is very hit or miss in my opinion.
I don't really have to venture out for Trinidadian food. My wife can handle that.
