Yeah, nothing about it really fits except it's a house right next to a mall and it has some semblance of a front yard. But at least I tried.

I posted something from downtown Flushing. Not really chain store, but when I drive down that street I can't help but notice the contrast.

Macy's Herald Square. Not quite suburban, but one of the more famous holdouts in NYC's history.

The corner building is what's left of another building.

That's a funny photo -- so many styles of architecture one after the other on one small block.

This well-known children's book, "The Little House" (written in 1942) is about the same topic so the issue has been around for a long time!

There's similar stuff in Williamsburg area, but in Flushing you have lots more medium sized developers do this anywhere where they can get a piece of land big enough. And they don't seem to be coordinating.

Williamsburg area you see a lot of the below. There were some brand new brownstone lookalike building next to some warehouses too, but I can't remember where I saw them.

Yes you did! And ultimately, it's difficult to know what exactly the director and production designer want, so I will still take a cap of this and present it to see if they want me to scout. It doesn't necessarily have to be a chain per se, but anything that looks commercial. The house having a front and back yard is also important. Thank you and everyone else for help and contributions! The more, the better, even if it might be "wrong" - it's all about options at this point!

Ha! An ex gf of mine lives right on that block. Crazy. The only issue is that the front and back yards are very important for this and I don't think there's many yards on that block. I may be wrong. Thanks though!

This one has a very small front yard and is next to a Walgreens
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Qu...68fc0e!6m1!1e1

This one is next to a CVS
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7552...4A!2e0!6m1!1e1

Next to a grocery store (no yard) https://www.google.com/maps/place/Qu...68fc0e!6m1!1e1

Northern Blvd in Woodside might be a good area to look as well because it's full of big ugly chains, gas stations, auto dealers, etc, and often the side streets are full of little houses.

This one is a little better. The front yard even has a tree. Next to a Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7540...GA!2e0!6m1!1e1
