14 years since the worst terrorist attack on our soil. People's wives, husbands, parents, brothers, sisters, and other family and friends went to work that day-Some never came home. The way they died was horrific and it was at the direct hands of others. People are still getting sick and dying from exposure even today; Both those who were in the area and rescue workers. I did not lose anyone but remember that day and smell of smoke and the ash in air like it was yesterday. How could anyone forget? This is not "fetishizing". Please have some respect for those who remember and attend events regardless of now or in the future. Our society is divided enough now as it is with other issues.
Yes, I was there on 9/11.
Yes, I lost loved ones.
And yes, after 14 years it's high time to move on and heal.
Re-living the terror every September 11th serves nothing but the festering of an open wound.
And, frankly, continually blaming the wrong people.
Why do Americans obsess with fetishizing their grief to the point where they
constantly stoke the embers of hatred
Remember the Maine, Remember the Alamo, Remember Pearl Harbor, Remember the Marne.
Remember PEACE...that's one everyone fails to remember, perhaps because it is such a rarity and politicians have made it a dirty word. (Easier to steal money with fear and war.

nope, everyone grieves differently. While it may be good for you to move on, some others may feel better revisiting it every once in a while. To each his own.
we are not going. not spending the 35 to go up to see a view i have seen before. the elevator ride does sound impressive, but it doesnt excite me to the point of going.
a lot of my friends worked in the WTC so its a little hard for me to do.
its a sin that we cant say what we really want to say here, because one of the posters here in this thread really needs to be put in check. bigtime.
we should never forget 9/11, and should be reminded a little more than once a year.
people came here and tried to destroy us, and our government failed us. they did.
