Operation Iraqi Freedom etc.. do not count as being in a "time of war". So if you have family/friends who dies during our recent Operations after 9/11 simply "do not count"
Now if you look at the dates of these wartime periods that qualify, you will notice that you have to be elderly or too damn old to be applying for a physical sanitation worker job.
The way they make it is no one can be qualified for "Veterans Credit" unless your too old or broken to apply.
Any one here qualify for Veterans Credit according to the attachments?
This should be illegal, especially with the Mayor and other elected official vowing to improve our treatment of veterans.
Disabled Veterans don't even qualify for credit according to this because you didn't serve in the 50's.
I'm not a vet but i think that you only need 4(?) years active service time and honorable discharge. I know a couple guys who got vet credit and are not old enough to have served in those wars, but the requirement might have been changed

Agreed, you had better call on that. I know guys got military credit and were like 8 in 1990

you would think so, but read the qualifications. A,B,C"and" D. Section D is the killer
Persian gulf is 1990-TBD. Maybe you would qualify under that, but as awol said it would be best to call.
