Restaurant owners worried about getting fined hundreds of dollars if they have not posted salt warnings on their menus got some sweet news Monday from a state appeals court.
A judge blocked the city from enforcing the new salt rules — which require some eateries to post salt icons on foods that have more than the daily recommended out of sodium — until there is a hearing on them March 18 before a full panel of judges at the Appellate Division in Manhattan.
The requirements went into effect in December but enforcement was delayed until Tuesday.
