I would actually say that East Tremont is the worst. I was on E 178th and Lafontaine avenue the other day, and not only did the area looked run down, but there was also CRIP graffiti on all the buildings, and to top it off I saw a drug transaction right in front of me. I looked at the crime statistics and the 48th precinct if not the highest, then it's top 2 or 3 in crime statistics.
what are currently the most dangerous or drug filled neighborhoods in the bronx??
i was living on decatur last year and that was pretty bad
bums passed out on doorways lots of theft
Decatur is horrible. Honestly, a lot of neighborhoods could contend as the Bronx worst. What they all have in common is that they all have really bad blocks in them.

Whew I remember when I was in the field and I had to work around there....those blocks in that area pound for pound are some of the roughest in the Bronx - Lafontaine, Monterrey, aww man haha

Williamabridge bridge centered around edeanwald projects takes the cake easily. Historically Mott haven has been bad for nearly a century. Suddenly now the area is trying to become fashionable.
