Gunnison NJ
To get to the beach, take the Garden State Parkway to exit 117, the exit for Route 36. Follow the signs to Sandy Hook. The entrance to the National Park is at the the end of 36, where it meets the coast. Enter the park and follow the signs for Gunnison Beach. Park in Parking Lot G. At the bathrooms on the boardwalk near the big gun (cosmic synchronicity?), head to the beach, and to your right. The nude area is clearly marked. Can't miss it.

Robert Moses/Lighthouse Beach at Fire Island, NY:
Once you are on Long Island, getting there is a breeze. Take your route of choice to the Robert Moses Parkway (south of course) and follow it straight to the beach. Signage for the parking areas is good, and parking is cheap. Head to Parking Lot 5. Walk to the East side of the bathhouse (the lighthouse side) and keep walking till you see the prominent sign pronouncing the beach clothing optional.
Cherry Grove:
Getting to Cherry Grove (and the nearby Pines) is relatively easy, but to get there you must take a ferry. The ferries run out of Sayville, on LI's South Shore, once an hour, every hour, starting at 8 in the morning on the weekends, and 5 am on weekdays. Ferries run until 10pm on the weekends, and 9 pm weekdays. The Ferry costs $10 round trip, not including parking, which is $7 at the port.
Children under 12 are $5, and dogs are $3. If you can't get into the ferries' parking lot, $10 might get you a space at a nearby make-shift parking area. The ride is about 30 minutes, and is well worth the fare. There's nothing like a ferry ride across the Great South Bay to mellow you down, and get you in the mood for the beach. . (You should check the ferry's web page for up-to-date schedule and fare information, as well as directions:
