It's not like it happens overnight. Based on the article, this sounds like just a feasibility study.

2031 sounds kind of optimistic to be honest. That's only 15 years away to perform a feasibility study, an environmental impact statement, community board reviews, design and engineering, procurement, and settle lawsuits. It's one thing if it's already been discussed extensively and the community wants it, but im not sure this is not one of those projects.

Unless it's ment to link Kings Plaza to the rest of Brooklyn, it sounds like a waste.

We really need to push for our subways system to take the next big step. A Brooklyn-Queens line, a Lower West Side Line (maybe extend the 7), and of course speed up the 2nd Ave line. All improvements to the subway and infrastructure is a good thing.

If you want quiet, you won't find it in NYC. Personally, Battery Park City is my quiet oasis.

You sure? I work there. I love BPC. Very quiet and everything there is never really super crowded.
