On top of that the old woman simply made comments on her parenting. That's no justification for hitting an older person. The young woman should have simply kept it moving. Hopefully she learns a lesson from this and teaches it to her child.

The problem here is some people for whatever reason have poor impulse control. Just because you are angry doesn't mean you should hit someone, and hitting someone can lead to severe consequences.
