She should have to pay the elderly lady to give civics and etiquette lessons to her child.

Old lady should have minded her own business. She was way too old for that non-sense. Also, you don't know how another person will react to you. Unless, you know how to fight or are prepare to fight then i would have kept it moving. At the end of the day, that kid is not my responsibility. (looks like that kid has no future with that mom though)

Keeping your mouth shut will result in less beatdowns, surely, but she said something that needed to be said. Too many people act like self-centered *******s in this City.. and as a born-and-raised New Yorker, there are certain things you're supposed to learn as a kid.. like Subway etiquette.

I'm sure this kid will rush on to trains before people get off.. and play his music without headphones 10 years from now.

It sort of beggars belief that you have to explain to someone that you should let people off the train/elevator before you try to get on.

First of all no matter what someone says to you, it is no excuse for putting your hands on them. What is this third grade?

Secondly some of these young mothers today need someone to set them straight; they were brought up badly and their children are going the same way.

Maybe this should be part of the public school curriculum. Some basic social niceties, etiquette, and civics. Is it not?

I agree but that is not how it is in the real world. There are people who have no self-control and can be set-off by anything.

In regards to young mothers, there are a good amount of people procreating that have no business procreating but that is for another thread. It's usually the people who are not civilized who are procreating at a fast and alarming rate.

Tiddays!

Not to make this a race thing, but in other news that Chinese guy who kicked a pregnant woman during that other subway incident had his $7k bail posted.

Meanwhile the UES mother above is still in custody because she cannot raise the $2500 bail.

That Chinese guy is a project manager for a motorcyle company so he has $$$. Also, his bro bailed him out.

In this case, the guy was pushed to the ground by the prego lady and then the chinese dude karate kicked her without knowing she was pregnant. This case should be dismissed.
