lol @ screaming about wall street. that's so 2 decades ago. the biggest scum these days are the tech bros. Same jizzbags, different clothing styles.
I mean Silicon Valley does actually produce something for society and that is technology. Wall Street produces absolutely nothing of value for society. Of course there are real scumbags in Silicon Valley, like Apple slowing down their iPhones so you buy the new model.
But Wall Street have always and continue to be the main ones screwing working people in America
Wealth and resources does not come because Wall Street guys are gambling on stocks.
It’s the result of production by workers. We grow the food, build the buildings, staff the stores and restaurants, etc.. I think we’d be fine without Wall Street types gambling away our 401k and pensions, dishing out subprime mortgages, and whatever other awful stuff their up to these days
You must think that one dollar is one dollar. It isn't, but if you really want it to be than we need to find a way to decrease the US population. Government injected food shortages or influenza are the first strategies that come to mind, but we can't rule out the need for state sponsored genocide either.

Among other things, Wall Street reallocates money from unproductive sectors of the economy to the more productive, or puts the "low productivity" capital to work.

But those stores, buildings and factories are able to be built because business decision makers are able to procure funding beyond their revenue by issuing debt and equity ownership. And investors in the company that you work for need a means of evaluating the quality and future profitability of that company in order to invest. Business operations need external financing in order to expand and research. Without which the economy would be much slower and less dynamic.

No you grow a garden, you can't afford the farm without wall street
You build a hut because you can't put up the costs for four walls and a roof for a house or business without wall street
You staff the kitchen with family because you can't get a loan for a restaurant without wall street

THat's the cover story anyhow. It no longer works that way.
