I don't have the money to afford dental care right now. Could anyone recommend a dental clinic in Manhattan? I've heard that Bellevue will accept walk-ins.

I know I could get welfare, but would rather just go to a clinic.

NYU is not free though...they charge $100 for a walk in emergency.

AFAIK, there is no free dental care anywhere in NYC - and so I did a google search for free dental care in NYC and there are several clinics - part of the "Ryan" network that offer free dental.

I just posted this last month - in the hopes that anyone asking would have made the effort to do a search here.

I ran across what is probably the absolute cheapest:

New York City College of Technology
(apparently part of CUNY)
Brooklyn
718-260-5074

The NYU clinic, by the way, will likely run you at least $150 for your initial visit.

I don't know about free, but you could try this resource to locate clinics that give discounts.
HITE: Search for Health Care Services

Here's an example of one link on that site

New York City College of Technology (CityTech) trains dental hygienists, not dentists, so they only offer the following services: City Tech - Dental Hygiene - Patient Care Clinic

Should I look poor when I go to one of these free clinics? I used to go to one on Spring Street and the staff always gave me weird and unfriendly glances. I'm poor, but I don't seem poor. I'm pretty well educated (through self-study), and I'm clean cut and dress well.

My teeth are in awful condition. I've sworn off vaginas, so I'm mainly trying to maintain my teeth to get employment. People don't want to hire men with missing teeth.

NYU has become a total pain in the ass. It is good only if you are on Medicaid...then it is free. But you have to be destitute.
Extraction is called oral surgery...$240 cash upfront.
Fillings arre running over $100 these days.

And their work is crap.

Does anyone know anything about Columbia?
