Lottery for XYZ...

Hey did anyone get called yet?
I've been waiting for two years and nothing.

I was called and saw an apartment. GORGEOUS!!
Well I haven't been called yet. I keep calling every week like the annoying SOB that I am and nothing.

Rinse and repeat.
My log # is 900000. Do i have a chance?

i bet those apts are still empty. They do the interview thing for 1-2 years and hope that everyone gives up hope. By then a new apt lottery pops up and people focus on that one.

Speaking of lotteries, the one by the Major Deegan... Looks like people are moving in there, or at least I saw lights on in some of the apartments the last time I was passing by there. I actually just thought it was all one big hotel. lol

Sad thing is so many are just that if they did but admit to themselves. Working poor perhaps, but never the less.

Uh, you can make six figures as a single person and qualify for the higher-income bands.

Yeah, I actually posted a thread with this request last year, but the response from the mods was a hard no.
NYC Forum - can we have a subforum for affordable housing?
It kept me off city-data for a while..we live in such an epic city with vibrant happenings and politics to discuss, and instead it reads like a housing forum.

$100K isn't rich in NYC, but neither is it poor. Not that being poor is the kind of leprosy you'd think from some people around here.

Some nutjob posted all those redundant threads, though. They should be nuked.

Once you read one affordable housing thread, you have read them all.
