1. I was discussing those from POOR background, not Chinese overall. Please don't fool yourself that the kids of laundry workers power through in the same ways as the kids of doctors do. And yes my Chinese colleague was very worried about this which is why she used to hire them as interns so that she could give them the exposures that others wouldn't have the patience to do.

2. And in fact East Asians do face issues with people perceiving them to have poor interpersonal schools. That has NOT been disproving. This is an ongoing challenge that East Asians must face in corporate settings.

I think this is pretty widely accepted on this forum

There are definetly inequalities and injustices in minority neighborhoods. However, the greatest problem with education lies in the attitudes of the students and the parents.

I went to a party this weekend. It was filled with accomplished, educated professionals. 80% were minority. Most grew up in Brooklyn, SE queens, third world countries, the 'not good' school districts on long island. There were 2 law degrees, a few masters, nurses, management level individuals etc.

There were at least 5 black couples who ranged from late 20s to late 30s who were earning close to $300k combined.

It is not the composition of the school. It is the attitudes of the parents and teachers. Stop with this woe is me shyt and handle your business.
